Darren Patterson, SIFT Chair
Darren Patterson is an independent environmental consultant working in the waste field. He has over 19 years experience both within New Zealand and the UK having worked for both local government and multinational companies. Prior to setting up Patterson Environmental Limited he worked at Environment Canterbury for 10 years. His role included providing advice and guidance on the management of waste and hazardous substances within the Canterbury Region as well as managing many high profile projects for the council. He now has clients in local and central government as well as in the private sector.
Darren is the Deputy Chair of WasteMINZ and has and has recently been re-elected by its members for another two years.
