Chris Pickrill is a Director of Shannons Way (NZ), a business concept new to Christchurch that focuses on corporate social responsibility and economic development research. This includes involvement in environmental initiatives with local businesses.
Chris recently retired as the Chief Executive Officer of Canterbury Development Corporation, the principal economic development agency for the Christchurch and Canterbury region.
With 30 years of broad-based business experience across a range of manufacturing and service sectors, Chris is widely regarded as an innovative and strategic practitioner with the ability to develop practical solutions to local economic development and employment challenges.
Chris has also played a key role in establishing and developing the Economic Development Association of New Zealand, effectively placing economic development on a professional footing in New Zealand.
